I was born in Philadelphia in 1937, and was a PhD university professor of Romance Languages & Literatures until 1977 when I and my Portuguese wife moved to Portugal. In addition to educational work, photography, and also writing, have become central in my life. I won my only photographic award in my school years, having subsequently published pictures in magazines, text books, and works of fiction. The photos of the Chiado district of Lisboa are scheduled for exhibition in Lisboa´s Photographic Archive (2005).
